From the paintings of artists whose work has been based on Sark, such as William Toplis and Mervyn Peake, to the paintings of the ‘Great Age’ of British watercolour in the 1800′s, the inspiration for Rosanne’s own work is extensive. It was also the keen observational skills of artists such as Tunnicliffe, Talbot Kelly and Wolfgang Weber who initially sparked her passion for watercolour and, in particular, painting from life.
